Being a good parent has nothing to do with whether you planned on getting pregnant or not. It has everything to do with the time and effort you put into caring for your child. Like your other two options - adoption or abortion - parenting can be a difficult decision to make. At Open Arms, our goal is to get as many resources into your hands as possible so you feel confident and capable.
How do I tell my family? Will they support me?
What if my partner doesn’t want the baby, but I do?
Can I still pursue a career/finish school?
Can I afford a baby? Where will I live?
Am I too young?
Help you craft a way to share the news with family in a productive way.
Offer support for partners that are unsure how to navigate an unplanned pregnancy.
Help you navigate resources and government programs like SNAP, WIC, etc.
Help you identify support in creative places like churches and mom groups.
Help you come up with a tentative parenting plan.
Give them access to our comprehensive library of pregnancy and parenting classes.
Give those enrolled in classes access to the baby closet to help with clothing, diapers, formula, and more!
Help you brainstorm ideas you may not have thought of yet!
